The weather was cooperative this week and our golf course construction crew along with Chet Williams being on site, enabled us to get many very important projects completed this week. Below is a list of what was accomplished and where we are:
· Greens - Holes #11, #12, #13, #14 and #16 have been sprigged. These greens were sprigged at a higher rate of grass to help their growth catch up to the previous front nine greens that have already been sprigged. As noted in the last update #15 green has already been sprigged.
· Green side bunkers - Holes #11, #12, #13, #14, and #16 also have been sodded around the greens and all of the green side bunkers have linings in them.
· Fairways – holes #11, #13, #14 and #16 have been sodded a little more than half way the entire length of the fairway.
Next Week – #17 green complex and surrounding area should be approved by Chet Williams to allow sodding and sprigging of that green and sodding the surrounding areas. The plan is to work hard on sodding the rest of holes #11, #12 and #13 to get completely out of that corner and focus on #5, #9, #18 and the putting greens.
