Greens –All 18 greens have now been sprigged! Now we are looking for sunny, warm weather to help grow-in all of the greens. Sprig amounts were more than doubled on the last 4 greens to help those greens try to “catch-up” to those that were previously sprigged.
· Fairways – #12, #14, #16, #17 and #18 have been sodded and now sod work will concentrate on fairway bunkers and “closing” holes up.
· Roughs – Several holes that had been seeded and washed with the rains were repaired this week, along with lake banks.
Next Week – Going forward, work will be concentrated on “closing” holes up from all the construction roads that were made during construction. Also, all fairway bunkers will start to get finished and sodded. Overall, the greens that have been sprigged for a few weeks now look great, with just a few bare areas that were caused from all the rains washing the fertilizer to one area and burning those areas out. These “burnout” areas are being addressed and we hope to see improvement soon. Work continues by our crews on cleaning-up holes such as; edging cart paths, pruning trees, cleaning wooded areas, top-dressing greens, fairways, tees and mowing to achieve final grass heights, etc. Check back next Friday for another golf course update and also check out our website for more pictures and drone videos.
Keep it simple,
