Member/Member Tournament Results

The first tournament ever held on the New Chet Williams Design took place June 3rd - 4th and the course could not have played better. The participants had a great time! The weather looked to be bad all weekend, but we only had to fight off the rain on Sunday for an hour and a half delay. Other than that, typical Houston weather prevailed throughout the tournament. The format was a scramble on the front nine and best ball on the back nine, Saturday. Sunday's rounds were completed, all the flight winners went out for a 'sudden-death' playoff on #18. The outcome was determined by two incredible putts. First, Bob Siegel made a 45 foot putt to save par (for a net birdie 3) and then his partner, Carl Eckerlsey made a 5 foot putt for bogey (net par 4), to win the overall championship by 1 stroke over the team of Chuck Watson and David Capobianco. Congratulations to Bob Siegel and Carl Eckerlsey on a well-deserved victory!
