18 HOLE CHAMPIONSHIP COURSE

    Our Championship Golf Course, designed by Chet Williams, challenges the very best players while, at the same time, offering a fun course for golfers of all skill levels. Williams’ design incorporates every element that a golfer needs to negotiate to play a successful round. Under Chet's direction, we began the 17 month journey of creating a golf course that is ranked #2 in Texas, (Dallas Morning News 2020).

    “With the great piece of property, we incorporated some very interesting and intricate movement throughout the course including the fairways, roughs, greens, and surrounds. We tried to keep the earthwork to a minimum to leave the property in the most natural state as we were provided. One thing that will make this course unique in the Houston area is the great variety of lies golfers will face. The most defining element of the course, however, is an abundance of large Oak Trees that the course winds among. Many of these trees are over 200 years old and hence the name Houston Oaks. Every hole on the course is unique, and most importantly I think the course is great fun to play. I am very proud of this golf course and am looking forward to great things for Houston Oaks in the future".

    ABOUT THE COURSE

    • This beautiful golf course is designed to accommodate all levels of ability from a tour player to a complete beginner so that every member can enjoy this beautiful course.

    • Some of the most breathtaking visuals on this course are its fairways and greens. The Celebration Bermuda Grass fairways yield virtually no "flat lies." As for the greens, their size and contouring are unique, and we've used TifEagle Bermuda Grass, a proven durable grass that can accommodate a variety of higher speeds.

    • The new menu at The Wedge, our onsite cafe, can be accessed via the hi-tech Visage Mobile Golf Information System on our brand new golf carts.

    • After any big Houston Rainfall, 50,000 feet of drainage pipe with more than 300 basins will drain the course and get it back into play quickly.
